A reference for those who are wondering what I think of the two DLC map packs for MW2, known as the Stimulus Package, and the new one called the Resurgence Pack.

Quick Info
Map Pack #1 - Stimulus Package
Release Date: 3/30/2010 (360), 05/04/10 (PS3)
Cost: 1200 Microsoft Points (15 US dollars)
New Maps: Bailout (urban neighborhood), Salvage (snowy junkyard), Storm (warehouse)
Returning Maps (from CoD4): Overgrown, Crash
Map Pack #2 - Resurgence Pack
Release Date: 06/03/10 (360), TBA (PS3)
Cost: 1200 Microsoft Points (15 US dollars)
New Maps: Trailer Park (the ghetto), Carnival (theme park), Fuel (oil refinery)
Returning Maps (from CoD4): Vacant, Strike
How do you like the Stimulus Package?
Overall, the maps were fun. It brought me back into the game for about a month or so. I can't choose just one to be my favorite, but it's definitely not Crash. I didn't like that map in CoD4, and still don't like it now.
How do you like the Resurgence Package?
Carnival - Original, and looks nice. But personally I don't like playing it that much.
Vacant - One of the maps on my OK list, but not my favorite.
Fuel - It's good, but the size allows boosters to hide in even more places.
Trailer Park - I love this map. Definitely my favorite out of the pack, simply because it's all close-quarters, but at the same time provides lots of cover and easy flank routes.
Strike - This map is pretty good. Played it a lot in CoD4.
Why are the map packs 15 bucks? That's pretty expensive for DLC nowadays.
Because people are gonna buy it regardless of the price (since MW2 is like, so damn popular), and Activision is getting tons of money off of it anyway. If it works, don't change it.
The Debate Begins...
Gamer A: It's too expensive!
I personally agree. $15 for only 3 new maps and 2 old ones from CoD4 is highway robbery IMO. You're basically paying $5 for each new map. Yes, I have a job, and yes I have a "bank" of Microsoft Points. So why am I still saying it's expensive? The maps are simply just "overpriced" for what they're actually worth, and it's becoming a trend for game developers to raise the prices on these dinky DLCs when they don't even add much to the game. Plus, $15 = 3 foot long subs, holy balls.
Gamer B: It's not expensive at all? $15 is nothing. Stop whining.
Money is money. Don't act like it grows on trees. If you want to buy it, go ahead. None of us is going to try and stop you. I encourage those who still really enjoy the game to buy it since it will just add on to your entertainment. Just don't bash people who won't buy it because of the price, it's a valid reason.
Random Noob: MW2 sucks.
A majority of the viewers are probably MW2 fans. So please refrain from shouting out your opinions that involves hating on MW2. It's something called trolling, and it can get you banned for it.
Considerate Gamer: I don't like MW2, <insert reason here>.
