hello, I have been using the footage directly from the card to FME, but it is not the best quality
I am trying to use VHS cap, but the feed is laggy
I put it in 480, and it still has some lag
so, do you think the problem is my upload (6.62) or do you think it is my computer? (just put it at 3.5, max RAM on 32 bit system)
you can see what I mean from the history from today: Feb. 9th

thanks for any help!

VHScrCap is for recording your desktop. You're playing the PS3 right? You shouldn't be using VHScrCap then.
If your upload is 6.62 MEGABITS then you're fine. Having a good computer helps, what capture card are you using?
You need to give me as many details as possible about your setup. Right now I can't help you if I don't even know what hardware you're using to broadcast.

im using the BMIP, and sorry, I meant the multi cam program. My computer is: 3.5 GB RAM intel dual core E4400 vista 32 GB 400 GB HDD another thing I may be thinking.... maybe my computer is running too many hidden programs. during casting, Id have Multi cam, FME 3, and Vaughn open. but, maybe my computer is running too many things in the backround?

Could be your graphics card as well. Does the video (not the stream) on your computer look laggy? If so then it is your computer.

well, when i do it 720p it does seem a little laggish when I do it in 480p, it seems fine, but a few seconds behind, so the audio is not synched up.
also though, when I broadcast it it still seems to be jumping all over the place. very slow, skipp frames, slow down, skip frames, etc.

Ah. I've had this problem with Vista where the frame rate gradually becomes sluggish. I've also tried Windows 7 but it had the same problem. My only solution was XP and I've been broadcasting with it ever since. XP doesn't work for all BMIP users, and some broadcasters do use BMIP with Vista. It really just varies on the hardware you have. If you don't mind, definitely try downgrading to XP to see if it works.
