So i got my BlackMagic Intensity pro several days ago in the mail. Everything was going fine, i put the card in the 1x1 pci-e slot, downloaded the new drivers and was on the verge of setting up my xbox 360 to it. I used one hdmi cable from the TV > HDMI output on the card.. I used one hdmi cable from Xbox 360 > HDMI Input on the card.. So, i set all of the settings correctly in the blackmagic control pannel and try to start my Xbox 360 and A black screen is the only thing i could see on my TV screen and the Black Magic Media Express program. I switch through all my inputs on my TV and nothing is responding to me.. I've been trying to connect this every way imaginable for over 20 hours now.. I tryed using components.. i tryed every way you can connect this damn thing and nothing is working. I am in dire need of connecting this and any reply would be much appreciated I also have it set to 720P in my xbox settings (That's what I'm trying to record in) I only do recording not broadcasting (EXTRA: I have a turtle beach X31 headset.. it seems like its useless since you cant put component cables and HDMI cables in an Xbox at the same time.. Is there a way to use both ports and connect my turtle beaches once again)

Have you checked the sticky topic and tried my settings? Those should work, just disregard the VH Multi Camera studio settings.
Yes, you can use component in, HDMI out, which is what I do. That's how I use my TB headset.

Well i updated the set-up to use all my component cables (Except L/R audio cables) and connected them to the proper Input cables into the break-out cables inputs.
i plugged an Hdmi cable from my TV to my BMI's output..
I don't understand why i get a black screen on my tv and no picture on my computer..
I set my xbox 360 to component 720p before connecting it to my breakout cables and still no picture..
I used all of your settings accordingly and copied it exactly and still nothing. Is there something else I'm missing or what?

Well, I got a few suggestions.
1- Make sure in Media Express, the "Capture" tab is selected. 2- Make sure in Media Express, Preference > Video Format: HD 720p 60. 60 is very important. 3- Go to your Blackmagic Design Control Panel and ensure output: HDMI & Y,R-Y,B-Y, and input: Y, R-Y, B-Y Video & Analog RCA Audio. Processing shouldn't matter if it's just Media Express, but just to be sure, they should be off since you don't want SD crap. 4- Shut down your computer all the way. A lot of the time if I leave my computer on for long periods of time, my card will not show any video until I fully power reset my computer, which sounds silly but it's the only known solution to my knowledge.
That's really all I can say so far. Double check all settings and whatnot. This card is very picky.

I did everything you said. I even screen shot my screen.. Is the somthing wrong with the way i inputed? Is it my TV? I have no idea anymore and i am about ready to give up. Ive tried all of my TVS input channel's 30 times. I've completely shut down my COMPUTER then turned on my xbox before my comp was turned back on I tried turning on my pc and xbox at the same time I've tried everything humanly possible I am lost.. can you like take a picture of your input set-up or something? Like a picture of your component cable set up?

Hey there. One VERY important thing that you might not of have considered is that if you graphics card supports the BMIP you need a HD graphics card the runs at atleast 1 gb processing. It also needs to be a stand alone video card, not a built in one that runs off your MB. hope this helps.
